To help with global node decentralization, we’ve onboarded DAO communities, launchpads and regional partners to help kickstart the sale. Those buyers with a whitelisted address are able to purchase checker node licenses.
We’ve reserved a portion of the whitelist nodes for ongoing strategic partnerships and campaigns. The goal is for the best supporters to join our ecosystem. We’ll continuously onboard new ecosystem, regional, and developer partners over the next months.
- March 20, 2024, 10 AM (UTC) : Aethir Pubic Node Sale
The wait is over! On this day, we are thrilled to start our sale for all participants. Buyers can purchase Aethir Checker node licenses during the public sale. This is the first major step of our decentralized vision, through checker nodes, thus enabling global participation in our ecosystem. The sale is on a first-come, first-served basis, and node license prices will go up after each node license price tier is sold out.

Aethir Node Supply and Tiers
A total of 100,000 Aethir Checker node licenses are up for sale. The node sale has a tiered pricing structure with a fixed price in wETH on the Arbitrum network, starting at 0.1259 wETH.
The wETH dollar value snapshot was taken on March 14, 2024, at 6 AM UTC. The fixed wETH conversion rate for the sale is 3970.985 USD per ETH.
Below is the exact node license price, the number of nodes per tier, and the allocation of nodes between the whitelist and public sale for each tier.
Node License Purchase Caps
The lowest tiers have low caps so that the community can access Aethir node licenses at lower prices. This is Aethir’s way of contributing to the network’s decentralization and ensuring a fairer distribution of node licenses.
The remaining 38 tiers don’t have purchase caps.
Here is a quick step-by-step guide on buying Aethir nodes via 2 methods.
Option 1: Buy Directly on the Website (Click Here)
Step 1 - Click here and connect your wallet
While purchasing nodes does not require you to pass a KYC procedure, claiming node rewards requires KYC. Therefore, we encourage all users to KYC before participating in the node sale.
Rewards from running nodes will be airdropped to the same wallet used to purchase nodes and cannot be changed.
Only users who are at least 18 years old can claim Aethir Checker node rewards. Users from the US and OFAC/UN-sanctioned countries are not eligible to participate. This includes users from Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Crimea, Donetsk People’s Republic and Luhansk People’s Republic regions.
Step 2 - Get wETH and Arbitrum ETH gas tokens
The Aethir Node Sale will be on the Arbitrum Network. You will need:
- - Wrapped ETH (wETH) to purchase Checker Node Licenses
- - ETH for gas fees
How to get wETH:
Option 1 - Purchase wETH on Arbitrum (Uniswap)
- - Purchase wETH directly from any Arbitrum DEX
Option 2 - Bridge ETH to Arbitrum with Arbitrum Bridge
- - For users with existing ETH on other chains, you can opt to bridge to Arbitrum using the Arbitrum Bridge (https://bridge.arbitrum.io)
- - Be sure to leave sufficient ETH in your wallet for gas
- - Swap ETH to wETH on any Arbitrum DEX
Step 3 - Select the available tier, node amount, and click “Purchase”

There are 53 tiers available for purchase. All tiers are available to purchase at 10:00 AM UTC, March 20.
Step 4 - Input promo code if you have one
If you have a promo code, click “Use promo code” and enter your code.
Note that promo code is a FUTURE rebate, and not an immediate discount. It is not automatically applied during the sale.You will pay the full node price in wETH at sale. The rebate will be sent later.
Step 5 - Purchase your Checker Node License
Click on “Approve” on the sale page. You will be prompted to sign a contract in your wallet. Once it has been signed, select “Purchase” and click “Agree” to the Terms & Conditions.
Congratulations, you have now successfully purchased your Aethir Checker Node License!
Option 2: Buy Directly on the Sale Contract (Click Here)
We wanted to provide a backup option to purchase the Checker Nodes as we expect to have a high volume of visitors to the sale website. We have increased tech support to manage the load however many web2 and web3 platforms still face front end challenges during highly anticipated sales.
Prerequisites
- - Ethereum-compatible wallet (e.g., MetaMask)
- - Sufficient balance of the payment token and some ETH for gas fees
Step 1: Approve IFFixedSale to Spend the Purchase Amount
1. Find the Payment Token Contract:
- Go to Arbiscan and use the search bar to find your payment token contract. You will need the contract address of the token you intend to use for the purchase.
2. Interact with the Contract:
- On the token's contract page on Arbiscan, navigate to the Contract tab and click on Write as Proxy or Write Contract if it is not a proxy contract.
- - Connect your wallet by clicking on the "Connect to Web3" button. This action will prompt your wallet to ask for permission.
3. Approve Spending:
- Find the approve function in the list of available functions. You'll need to input two pieces of information:
- The spender address, which is the IFFixedSale contract address. This address should be provided by the project.
- The amount of tokens you wish to allow IFFixedSale to spend on your behalf. This will be your purchase amount.

e.g. If the sale is 10 WETH and you’d like to buy 3 sale tokens / nodes. The amount will be 30 ETH(1), which is 30000000000000000000 Wei(10^-18)
- After filling in the details, click "Write" to execute the transaction. Confirm the transaction in your wallet and wait for it to be confirmed on the blockchain.
Step 2: Purchase Token Using whitelisted Purchase With Code Function
1. Navigate to IFFixedSale Contract:
- Similar to the first step, search for the IFFixedSale contract on Arbiscan and go to the Contract -> Write Contract section.
2. Connect Your Wallet:
- Connect your wallet if you haven't done so already by clicking the "Connect to Web3" button.
- Execute the Purchase:
- - Find the whitelistedPurchaseWithCode function. Input the required parameters as follows:
- paymentAmount: The amount of tokens you want to purchase. Should be same as the amount approved in step 1
- merkleProof: An empty array.
- _allocation: Set this to the same value as your paymentAmount.
- code: Input the referral code provided to you, if any.
- After entering all the required information, click "Write" to execute the purchase. Confirm the transaction in your wallet.

Aethir Checker Node Sale Referral Codes
Buyers using referral codes will get a 10% or 5% purchase rebate. Referral codes don’t give discounts but rebates.
Aethir will airdrop the rebates to buyer wallets within two weeks after the public node sale.
The time it takes for buyers to receive their rebates depends on individual Aethir partners.

What Is Next After Buying an Aethir Checker Node?
These are the next steps after purchasing an Aethir Checker node.
Receive Your Checker Node Licenses in NFT Form
- About 3 weeks after purchasing an Aethir checker node license, investors will receive an ERC-721 NFT to the wallet addresses used during the Aethir node sale.
- The NFT symbolizes ownership of the purchased Aethir node. Buyers will receive one NFT for each purchased node. The NFTs will be airdropped directly to buyer wallets three weeks after the node sale. There is no claiming process. The Checker Node license gives buyers lifetime access.
- The NFTs will be non-transferable for the first year after the node sale. This is to ensure the ongoing stability of our checker nodes. The community will be able to influence this through governance.
- The team will launch the checker node client between the NFT airdrop and the Aethir Mainnet launch. There will be sufficient time for users to download, install, and power up their nodes to start earning rewards.
Running an Aethir Checker Node by Yourself
Users must download a simple and small software package to run a node. Even the lowest-end hardware devices can support it.
The Aethir Checker node client software will become available once the Aethir Mainnet goes live in Q2 2024.
Node operators who don’t want to run Aethir Checker nodes on their own computers, can choose a Virtual Private Server (VPS) provider to host their nodes, but they will still need to run them manually.
Here are some reliable VPS options: AWS, Tencent Cloud, Rachnerd, Hostwinds, Digital Ocean.
Make sure to pick the package that matches the minimum hardware requirements.
Delegating Your Aethir Node
Node operators who don’t want to run Aethir Checker nodes by themselves can choose a Node-as-a-Service (NaaS) provider. NaaS companies handle the whole process for you. You can “delegate” your Checker Node License (NFT) to a NaaS provider and earn rewards automatically.
Here are some reliable NaaS options: Animoca, Luganodes, Nodeops, Builder.
Minimum Hardware Requirements for Running an Aethir Checker Node:

- 1 X 86 CPU Cores@2.1GHz
- 10 GB Disk Space
- 10Mbps Internet Connection
For reference, even the lowest-end laptops and PCs today can efficiently run an Aethir Checker node. You don’t even need a physical GPU to run Aethir Checker nodes on your computer.
Earning Aethir Checker Node Rewards
Aethir Checker node operators will receive $ATH rewards for ensuring the stability and optimal quality of service of the Aethir network. The $ATH token is Aethir’s upcoming utility token, which will be launched in Q2 2024.
Checker Nodes earn through mining rewards which get distributed in the form of $vATH tokens. In total, 15% of Total Token Supply is allocated to checker nodes.
To thank all our early adopters, bonus rewards will be distributed to all checker nodes who participated in this sale for the first 6 months. Also, early adopters will enjoy a three-month period without reward reduction.
10% of the Total Token Supply is allocated to these mining rewards over a 4-year timeframe, 5% will be for a performance bonus to nodes who qualify. Quarterly assessments will be performed to check for eligibility for bonus rewards, including uptime, no early withdrawals, etc.
